Barry was elected Chairman at the November 2008 Extraordinary General Meeting.

“We moved into New Road in 1982 and now live in Frankland Road. My wife, Mandy, works at Little Green School and my eldest son, James, works in Croxley attending to most of Croxley’s IT needs.

My first recollections of Croxley are from fishing on Common Moor when I was a kid when I would cycle up from my parents house in Stanmore. I’ve been involved with the Revels Committee for over 20 years and have been chairman of the Keep Croxley Green Group since its inception in 2004. I maintain a keen interest in the developments affecting our community and I felt, in taking on the Chair of the Association, that there was an opportunity to improve the line of communication between all the component parts of our community”.

Stephen was elected Vice Chairman at the November 2008 Extraordinary General Meeting, and subsequently Chairman of the CGRA Media sub-committee.

'We moved from 'up north' into Croxley for the first time in 1985, to Watford Road. Our three children were all born here and educated locally - Harvey Road / Rickmansworth School - plus a bit of Americanisation when we lived in the USA for three years from '92-'95. We then came back to Croxley, moving to Old Barn Lane, then another house in Old Barn Lane - and a year ago to Frankland Road - our fourth house in Croxley. My wife Jennie works locally as the SEN specialist at St. Anthony's in Watford (located in 'Croxley View' so she can at least see Croxley from there).

I completed seven years as governor at Rickmansworth School resigning at the end of 2008. Given our commitment to this place and our many great friendships across a wide range of Croxley people, I saw the CGRA as an opportunity to contribute something and make a positive difference.'
